Recently serviced and PAT tested. 2 x Watts RMS / 4 Ohms, 2 x Watt RMS / 8 Ohms. ventilation (fan off the front), XLR male or female, out HP terminals. C-Audio GB Power amplifier. 2x watts @4 ohms. Very good condition overall, been in a rack case most of its life. Well regarded British. Can someone provide any guide to the history of C-Audio’s amp products?I know the company gb – ok. ra – good studio amp.

I’ve had mine, trouble free, for about 4 or 5 years. Doesn’t seem to have much in the way of protection circuits, ONLY a power supply fuse at the back and a relay against short circuits I presume.
Contact monitec he may be able to help with this one! There still seem to be quite a few different models in use but which of them have proved to be the most reliable? One good thing about C-Audios is that if and when they do fail, it’s rare that they are beyond help. Such is the quality and practicality of the range that it has also found favour amongst a wide range of users including discos, clubs, bars, venues, theatre installers and cinema sound specifiers.
Not had one go wrong in a long while so dunno how it is nowadays I do get around a bit with my band though, so meet up in near future possible at Newcastle, Dorking, York, Penistone, Stoke, Southport or Edinburgh!! C-Audio amps – model history?
Very recently cleaned out inside. Very large heatsink and huge fan as well, and many caps. Maybe could be used say as a home cinema amp for subs, if you disabled the loud fan on it The RA wasnt built by C Audio it was built by third generation it was rebadged hp the Ra was the C audio design.
