The Great Controversy by Ellen G. The book was reaching beyond the ranks of Seventh-day Adventists. The Great Controversy focuses entirely on the Christian Age with White beginning the history with the how Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire yet at the same time was watered down with the influences of paganism and other errors.
White’s Conflict of the Ages series the curtain is pulled back on the battle between truth and error and between Christ and Satan.

This book, though written more than years ago still changes many lives and is as relevant today as when it was first published. What this book see’s coming is not based on guesswork, it is bas What is the world coming to?

In the edition preface, the author states the primary purpose of the book to be “to trace the history of the controversy in past ages, and especially so to present it as to shed a light on the fast approaching struggle of the future.
It gives a startling overview of the mighty conflict between Christ and Satan from its origins in heaven thousands evw years ago to its conclusion on earth in the days just ahead of us. I have the same grudging respect for them as I have for Mormons.
The home stretch chapters then seen more so as light towers on a raging sea as opposed to the tge of MAC truck coming full speed ahead. I lament the fact that didn’t appreciate History until later in my academic career If you do have an appreciation for History, then buckle your seatbelt because the author unloads a ton information that you’ll want to go research yourself.

I have seen that Satan would have been greatly pleased to see Elders Prescott and Daniells undertake the work of a general overhauling of controvresy books that have done a good work in the field for years. I recommend it to everyone, though I do not concur with the proposition that Reformation, nor Seventh-Day Adventism, is the way back to God I am a sincere devotee of restoration through Joseph Smith, the Prophet of God. In keeping with the thinking in those times, she and those associated with her did not consider this use of available materials as a matter that called for specific recognition. But after reading this book, you’ll be one of them!
This book gave me a greater appreciation for all of the many Reformers and their sacrifices to break the stranglehold of the apostate Roman Catholic Church. An Era of Spiritual Darkness.
Had I read this book 5 years ago, probably so. Books by Ellen G. Jun 08, Robert Brudos rated it liked it. Volume 1, dealing with Old Testament history, gteat published in The official Ellen G. Apr 22, Evelynn rated it it was amazing Shelves: When the type was set and proof sheets were available from the publishers, a marked set, showing clearly both the old reading and the new, was submitted controvedsy Ellen for careful reading and approval.
Thus her special writings are accepted by Seventh-day Adventists as inspired, and their exceptional quality is recognized controvresy by casual readers. The Later Elmshaven Years.
When I pick up this book I us the Bad: The Great Controversy wouldn’t be the first book from this author that I would recommend based upon where a person is in relation to their understanding of God.
