The “logical” arguments don’t make sense, so it must be something else, and people cling to their beliefs with irreligino tenacity of an affective decision, not an empirical one. The author’s arguments appear to be jumbled up and somewhat inconclusive, ending sometimes in jest, which further devalued his assertions.
